Dear Friends of Crossroads — it’s Gala Month!
We are thrilled to invite you to join us for our annual Pasta & Jazz Gala on Friday, September 19th, at Liberty Station Marriott at 5:30 p.m. This year’s celebration promises to be bigger and better than ever, as we come together to honor the legacy of Crossroads and the women whose lives are transformed every day through recovery.
Honoring Our Founders
We are especially proud to welcome Jeanne McAlister, founder of the McAlister Institute, as our featured guest speaker. Jeanne will reflect on the remarkable history of Crossroads and its founding vision, paying tribute to Bernice Morris, one of Crossroads’ trailblazing founders and a dedicated attorney who fought tirelessly for women in recovery. Their shared commitment continues to inspire the work we do today.
Special Guest: Supervisor Monica Montgomery Steppe
We are equally honored to host San Diego County Supervisor Monica Montgomery Steppe. Her district includes Hillcrest, home of Crossroads, and many of the women we serve. Supervisor Montgomery Steppe has long championed equity, opportunity, and community health, making her an ideal partner to help showcase the impact of Crossroads in San Diego.
Why This Gala Matters
The Pasta & Jazz Gala is more than an evening of music, connection, and inspiration. It is a chance for our community to stand together in support of women rebuilding their lives after substance use disorder. Every ticket purchased, every table sponsored, and every donation made brings us closer to ensuring that women throughout San Diego have a safe, supportive place to heal.
Together, we can continue to provide the care, tools, and hope that lead to lasting recovery.
Reserve your seat today and be part of the Crossroads story!
With gratitude,
Lindsey Purdie
