Dear Friends of Crossroads,
As we begin a new year, I find myself reflecting deeply on what it means to serve as the Executive Director of Crossroads. It is an honor I do not take lightly.
The Crossroads Foundation played a life-changing role in my own recovery, and to now lead the organization that once supported me is both humbling and profoundly meaningful. Every day, I am reminded that Crossroads is not simply a place, but a community built on compassion, accountability, and hope. I am especially proud that many members of our staff share this connection. They are women whose lives were changed here and who now give back by walking alongside others on their recovery journeys. That shared lived experience is at the heart of what makes Crossroads so special.
The Spirit of Community
That spirit of community was on full display at our recent Open House, which I had the pleasure of attending. The atmosphere was festive and welcoming, bringing together families, alumni, board members, and supporters. Events like these are a powerful reminder of the lasting connections formed at Crossroads and the strength of our extended community.
The holiday season was also a time of connection and joy for our clients, many of whom were able to spend Christmas with their families. Moments like these are deeply meaningful, reinforcing the progress our women are making and the relationships they are rebuilding.
Thank You Cygnet Theater
I would also like to extend a special thank you to the Cygnet Theatre for hosting our clients on December 26. The women had a wonderful time, and we are deeply grateful for the ongoing generosity of the theatre, which welcomes Crossroads women throughout the year. These experiences offer joy, inspiration, and a sense of belonging that means more than words can express.
As we move forward, we are excited about what lies ahead. Crossroads is approaching its 69th year as a women’s residential recovery home, and we have many exciting plans in the months to come. We look forward to sharing more about our programs, events, and vision for the future.
None of this work would be possible without the continued support of our community. If you are able, please consider making a gift to the Crossroads Foundation. Your generosity helps ensure that women seeking recovery have a safe, supportive place to heal and rebuild their lives.
Thank you for being part of the Crossroads family.
With gratitude,
Lindsey Purdie
