Dear Friends of Crossroads,

June is Pride Month — a time to celebrate self-expression, resilience, and the power of living authentically. But for many LGBTQ+ individuals, the road to recovery from substance use disorder is often layered with unique challenges. Discrimination, trauma, housing insecurity, and even targeted marketing by the alcohol and tobacco industries have contributed to elevated rates of addiction in LGBTQ+ communities.

At Crossroads, we understand the importance of creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for all. Everyone deserves access to compassionate, affirming care. Together, with your help, we’re breaking down barriers and building paths to healing.

First-Ever “Day at the Bay” – June 29

We’re excited to invite you to our first community picnic and fundraiser, A Day at the Bay, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 29 at beautiful De Anza Cove in Mission Bay. It’s more than a beach day — it’s a celebration of recovery and connection.

Come enjoy a BBQ lunch, music, lawn games, and a peaceful walk around the bay with alumni, clients, and supporters. Studies show time in nature supports mental wellness — and this event is all about fun, healing, and shared hope. Sign up today!

Save the Date: Gala – September 19

Our annual Pasta & Jazz Gala returns on Friday, September 19 at 5:30 PM at the Marriott Liberty Station, with a glamorous Black & White Black-Tie theme. Expect surprises — we’ll be announcing special guests as the date gets closer.

This year’s gala supports not only our ongoing programs but also the construction of Maria’s House, a new residence that will allow us to serve more women in need. Tickets are available now on our website. https://crossroads4recovery.org/events/

Why Community Support Matters

A study by the National Institutes of Health shows that strong community involvement increases the long-term success of residential treatment by as much as 30%. Support from people like you — whether you’re an alumnus, family member, neighbor, or advocate — makes a measurable impact on our clients’ healing and success.

We’re evolving. Crossroads is reaching further into the community, forging new partnerships, and creating more opportunities for women to reconnect, rebuild, and recover. It takes all of us — and we’re grateful you’re here.

Will You Help Us Keep Growing?

We can’t do this alone. Whether it’s attending an event, becoming a monthly donor, or simply sharing our mission with someone who needs it — your support keeps Crossroads strong.

Thank you for being part of the Crossroads family.

With gratitude,

Lindsey Purdie
Executive Director
