Dear Friends of Crossroads,

I hope this newsletter finds you in good spirits and enjoying the warmth of our San Diego summer. As always, I am filled with gratitude for your unwavering support and commitment to our mission. July has been a particularly exciting month for us, and I am thrilled to share some highlights with you.

Music Under the Stars Fundraiser

On July 13th, we hosted our annual Music Under the Stars event, and what a night it was! Clients, staff, and donors alike danced to the vibrant tunes of Catherine Beeks & The Calamity Duo, the Mercedes Moore Band, and Lisa Sanders and Brown Sugar. The evening was a resounding success, raising over $3,000 for Crossroads projects. Your generosity continues to drive our efforts to provide essential services and support to the women in our care.

San Diego Pride Festival

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that Crossroads will be represented at the Recovery Village during the San Diego Pride Festival on the weekend of July 20th. This annual event brings together LGBTQIA+ recovery organizations to offer valuable recovery information and resources. It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with the community and provide 12-Step meetings and support. Hosted by San Diego Pride, this event underscores our commitment to inclusivity and support for all individuals on their recovery journey.

Upcoming Media Appearances

I am honored to share that I will be a guest on Drew Schlosberg’s “Spotlight on the Community” podcast. This platform has been the leading voice in uplifting community champions for 18 years. My interview will be available on demand at cloudcastmedia.us or through iTunes, Spotify, and other podcast apps. We will announce the August airdate on our social media channels, so stay tuned!

Additionally, I have written an opinion piece on the urgent need for more detox beds in San Diego, which will be published in the San Diego Union-Tribune. This piece addresses a critical issue in our community, and we will share it on our social media platforms as well.

Upcoming Event: Pasta & Jazz Fundraiser

We are eagerly preparing for our biggest fundraiser of the year, the Pasta & Jazz event. Mark your calendars for Friday, September 20, 2024, at the Courtyard Marriott Liberty Station. This year’s theme is Roaring 20’s Black Tie Attire, and it promises to be a night of elegance, music, and celebration. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit Classy.org.

A Call for Support

As we look forward to this glamorous event, we ask for your continued support. Your donations make a significant impact on the lives of the women at Crossroads, providing them with the resources they need to heal and thrive. Please consider donating or purchasing a ticket to our Pasta & Jazz event. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that every woman has the opportunity for a brighter, healthier future.

Thank you for your unwavering support and generosity.

With gratitude,
