From the Bay to the Ballroom
Crossroads Foundation – July Newsletter
The sun was shining, the breeze was gentle, and the scent of barbecue drifted through the air on the last Sunday of June — it was the perfect day for our first annual Day at the Bay picnic at Mission Bay. More than 150 people joined us, creating a joyful assortment of current clients, alumni, staff, families, and friends. There was laughter, plenty of hugs, children racing across the grass, jumping in the water, and stories shared under shady trees — a true celebration of recovery, resilience, and community.
We’re especially grateful to the incredible volunteers who made the day possible, with heartfelt thanks to the South Bay Pioneers Men’s Group for their time, strength, and service. Their spirit of fellowship and generosity helped us bring together women from all walks of life — from graduates of the program to those still early in their journey. Watching alumni reconnect and encourage new clients reminded us why Crossroads is more than a program — it’s a lifelong sisterhood.
And the celebration only continues!
We’re just weeks away from our biggest night of the year — the 38th Annual Pasta & Jazz Gala, happening September 19 at the Liberty Station Marriott. This year’s theme is Black & White, so dust off your best attire and get ready to dance! We’re thrilled to welcome The Mercedes Moore Band to the stage — their powerhouse vocals and bluesy energy will bring a fresh spark to this cherished event. And we have two surprise speakers lined up who will inspire and move you — you won’t want to miss it.
Whether at the bay, the park, or the ballroom, what makes Crossroads so special is the community we’ve built together. We can’t do it without you.
If you believe in second chances, in healing, in the power of women lifting each other up — please consider supporting our work. Your donation helps provide shelter, therapy, education, and love to women on the path to recovery.
Join us. Support us. And let’s keep building a future where every woman has a place to belong.
With gratitude,
